Welcome to NORTHERN WATERSPORTS, founded by Adam Crouch in the spring of 2020. Our journey began with the establishment of Northern Kites, a dedicated kitesurfing school. By 2023, we expanded our offerings with NORTHERN WINGFOIL, leveraging the ideal conditions at West Kirby Marine Lake to provide exceptional wingsurfing and wingfoiling lessons.

Adam Crouch, the visionary behind NORTHERN WATERSPORTS, achieved the distinction of becoming the world's first RYA Senior Wing Foiling Instructor. Additionally, he holds credentials as a BKSA Kitesurf and Wingfoil Senior Instructor and UK Examiner.

Together with his team of highly qualified instructors, Adam ensures that NORTHERN WATERSPORTS delivers the highest quality tuition in the UK. THE TEAM

  • ADAM CROUCH

    Adam Crouch, the owner of Northern Wingfoil and Northern Kites, is dedicated to delivering the best experience. As a BKSA and RYA Senior Instructor, as well as a BKSA Kitesurf and Wingfoil Examiner, Adam brings a wealth of expertise to his instruction. The Northern Wingfoil Team, trained to the highest standards, uses the latest equipment tailored to each individual, ensuring the best possible learning experience.

  • JUSTIN EVANS

    Justin joined the team in 2024. He is probably one of the best Kitefoil and Wingfoil riders in the North of England. He brings with him years of wind and water experience.

    He also owns Surf To Summit who run coaching clinics and activity camps throughout the UK and World.

  • NIGEL ENTWISTLE

    Nigel Entwistle has been with the Northern Family since 2021. Starting out with Northern Kites, He quickly gained his Senior Instructor qualifications and has been a vital part of the team.

    Nigel joined Northern Wingfoil in 2024 as a Senior Wingfoil Instructor. We are super excited to have him on board.

    He comes highly rated by all of his previous students!

  • KAYLA MCCANN

    One one of the best Female Kitesurf and wingfoilers in the North West of England.

    Kayla joined the kite and wing instructor team in 2023.

    Kayla brings so much positive energy to all of her lessons.

  • Paul Tyson

    Paul joins the team as a previous Student of Northern Wingfoil in 2023.

    Paul loves a good storm and you will always see him speeding around the lake when everyone else is to scared to head out!

    Pauls main focus is on delivering our group coaching sessions.
