WIND DIRECTION

Safe directions from North North West (NNW), round through West to South South East (SSE). North East and East Winds are not advisable as the wind comes over the land causing gusty conditions and wind shadows from the sea wall and houses.

TIDES / CONDITIONS

Tides above 8.9m creates chop and waves. Jettys can also become submerged and difficult to see.

HAZARDS

The jetties are supported on metal posts, so watch your hydrofoil winds on theses to avoid damage.

The depth of the water next to the sea wall footpath becomes shallow. So make sure you stay 10 meters away.

Advisable to wear boots if you are spending a lot of time in the water as there can be weever fish and razor clams.

Most people use 70cm - 85cm masts

PARKING / ACCESS

Users must book in with Northern Wingfoil for a Lesson or book in with Wirral Watersport Centre for a membership pass.

Once booked on, users will gain access to the car park, lake and facilities.
